Learning for Life is the mission of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension – Hancock County. It applies to ourselves and the people we serve in Hancock County.

Learning for Life means. . . .

Helping Hancock County citizens compete in the world by helping them to expand their knowledge base throughout their lives.
The UGA Extension office serves as Hancock County’s local access to objective, science-based knowledge on agriculture and the environment, in youth development, family and consumer sciences and small business development.

Agriculture & Natural Resources
Farmers, Gardeners and Home owners receive the latest educational information

4-H & Youth Development
Hancock Youth acquire knowledge, develop life skills, and form attitudes that will enable them to become productive and contributing members of society.

Family & Consumer Sciences
Hancock Families are provided educational information on parenting food and nutrition, financial security and housing and the environment in order to help them improve their quality of life.

Small Business and Economic Development
Hancock County citizens are linked with the UGA Small Business Development Center.
