The Department of Parks & Recreation provides recreation & leisure services for residents, as well as, visitors of Hancock County. Hancock County Recreation Center maintains neighborhood recreation centers and coordinates a range of recreation programs, including sports leagues, youth development, etc.
The Mission of the Department of Parks & Recreation is to enhance the quality of life & wellness for Hancock County residents, as well as visitors, by providing the necessary access to affordable and quality recreational services by organizing programs, activities and events and by maintaining safe recreational amenities.

The Hancock County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting youth sports this fall. All are invited to register your child or children for the amazing opportunity to play co-ed flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading for the enrollment fee of only $20.00 per child.
